Willem Dafoe Will Not Be A Part Of The Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom

The Spiderman villain will not be a part of the sequel. His character, Nuidis Vulko will not be in the movie. Director James Wan confirmed it in Entertainment Weekly regarding the same. He revealed that the main reason why Willem couldn’t join them was because of scheduling issues.

“Part of the reason was because his schedule did not work out for us. But what that allowed me to do was expand on Atlanna’s role. Atlanna in this one ultimately becomes Arthur’s advisor. Because Arthur’s not from this world, she helps him better understand the world and the politics of how things work.” James said.

With Willem’s character out of the movie, it gives James the freedom to expand the character of Nicole Kidman, Atlanna. Nuidis Vulko is an Atlantean. He teaches young Arthur fighting and survival skills. It would be a sight to watch how they try to replace or fill in the spot for Willem’s character.
