Sidney Poitier has been a huge influence on black people wanting to enter the field of cinema. The actor was the first black man to win an Academy Award, Grammys, Golden Globes, and The British Academy Film Award. Sidney was looked up to by Denzel Washington and many other budding artists of that time. Sidney was active from 1949 to 2009.

Denzel Washington is an actor, director, and producer who has been an inspiration to many aspiring directors and actors. The actor has a career experience of four decades in Hollywood and has received multiple accolades throughout his career. Being a recipient of two Academy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, and two Silver Bears. Denzel has surely been an inspiration to the younger generations.
Both Sidney and Denzel have been two of the pioneers for the people of color community. They both have provided the luxury for POC people to achieve their dreams and follow their passions. They both are truly legends of the Hollywood industry. And they have given so much to the industry as artists and human beings. Denzel and Sidney have both paved the way for Black people to make their way ahead in a competitive industry such as that of Hollywood.
